A wealth of  details is used in the creation of these exclusively designed and custom-fitted garments. The process of creating these couture pieces, in the truest form of the word, is extremely technical and it takes more than one set of hands to  bring an idea to life, sometimes over hundreds of hours. 

Since these pieces are custom created, we work closely with the bride at her one-one-one designer consultation and creation session to build the dress from scratch and put pen to paper. In contrast to spending an hour fitting different wedding styles, this creation session is solely set aside to build the 'dream' dress with the finest hand-selected laces and bespoke embroideries from all around the world.

Each personalized quotation takes a few days to put together for a custom wedding gown and we make sure we secure the best possible fabrics as the best possible rates. Each quote is tailored to the bride with the fabrics and finishes she has selected in her creation session as well as the custom dress we have designed.

At some first fittings, you can see the whole dress come to life and we laugh when the bride wants to walk down the isle in the dress already. The feeling of pure excitement lingers in the air after she has left! We work with between 3-6 fittings with local brides and between 2-4 fittings for international clients (depending on travel schedules). On the RARE occasion, we have had to work with only 1 fitting (if the dress allows).

We work directly on the body; the measurements are only the beginning. Most times, it feels as though we are performing surgery using fabric on the body. To do what we do, one has to have a respect for the female form. A true artistic expression for us is where we don’t cut back in the design process. That is where masterpieces come to life. It is the ideal of ideals! All the finishing is done by hand, hence the 6-8 month production time. Each and every bespoke dress is unique and of great significance to that specific bride in that moment.

These ‘privé’ pieces are works of art. It’s never ‘just another dress’. Each piece and each client is so important and quite often, that process of creating that special piece leads to a lifelong friendship. I have watched most of my past clients walk down the isle, have children, buy houses, get promoted, start their own businesses and live life. It is an incredible journey to be a part of.

Over and above a bride absolutely LOVING her dress in the end, is that moment when she says that the dress has been the most stress-free process out of the entire wedding planning. I just love that.
